Waukesha County currently follows Wisconsin State Law regarding exotics and reptiles. Crossing state lines does require animals to have current Certificates of Veterinary inspection per Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. Their website is found at WI DATCP.gov.

Mammal Restrictions: Rodents from Africa: Tree squirrels, rope squirrels, dormice, Gambian giant pouched rat, brush-tailed porcupine, striped mice.
