Minnesota Rules & Information
These Rules & Information are provided as a convenience to Repticon vendors and exhibitors, and may not be comprehensive for every animal. Each vendor is responsible for researching and complying with all current laws regarding their animals.
State of Minnesota Information:
Animal Restrictions: Native turtles may not be sold as pets in the State of Minnesota. Many frogs may be sold as bait, but not as pets. Full list here: http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/reptiles_amphibians/sales.html
Minnesota Board of Animal Health
The Minnesota Board of Animal Health requires a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) for all animals that vendors bring from out of state into the state of MN. MN vendors are not required to have CVI’s for all the animals.
City of Eagan:

Animal Restrictions: The City of Eagan allows dogs, cats, ferrets, gerbils, hamsters, rabbits, and caged household birds to be kept as pets. All other reptiles and exotic pets are prohibited from being kept in residential areas.
