These Rules & Information are provided as a convenience to Repticon vendors and exhibitors, and may not be comprehensive for every animal. Each vendor is responsible for researching and complying with all current laws regarding their animals.

If vendor is “buying and reselling” animals, an annual $25 Pet Shop License is required – link here — this is not required for breeders who are selling animals they have raised

Restrictions include:
No Native species or Morphs of Native for sale without Documentation of Sale or Birth
No sale or Possession of Crocodilians
No sale or Possession of Spiders or Scorpions that are considered dangerous by the state of Illinois (anything “medically significant” such as widows, recluses, death stalkers, etc.) Please contact Scott Ballard, listed above, for approval if you intend to bring spiders or scorpions to the show.
No Venomous
No “constricting snake” “six feet or over in length” — see link below
Ferrets & native mammals require a Wild Game Breeder Permit — link here
No sale or possession of Federally protected animals without proper permits

***Please Note that the Health Certificate and Entry Permit Number Requirements are NOT required for reptiles.***
